How It All Began

Angela and Omar originally met in the halls of Columbia High School in 1995. Omar moved to the Glenwood community and became friends with many. Omar’s friendly nature extended to Angela and for a while, Omar made it a habit to walk Angela home. However, as a shy young girl, Angela never believed Omar truly had a romantic interest in her.
As time passed, Omar moved away. For over 25 years, Angela and Omar were out of each other’s lives. It took a chance encounter, a direct message online, and a dinner date at Marlow’s Tavern changed their trajectory.
The friendship and love they had started in high school survived the 25-year separation, and they have been building their future ever since. They are living their happily ever after romance.

The Proposal
Two Urban Licks, where Angela took Omar on their first-anniversary date, was chosen as the setting for the proposal. Angela fell in love with the restaurant, and this special place was important to her.
The proposal was a complete surprise for Angela, and Omar had to ensure that the moment was perfect. The event itself had to be worthy of a fairy tale. He asked for help from their close friends and family to make sure the proposal was perfect.
He planned the event for months and worked hard to ensure nothing got in the way of their special day.
